Creativity is a like a muscle, if you don't use it, it will weaken, wither then finally waste away - just when you need it most.

You need to start exercising.  Don't worry, gym membership is not required.  You don't even need to reach for your wallet.  Seriously!  This exercise programme is brought to you FREE of charge.

The only equipment you will need is your brain.

The only muscle you will be working on is your mind. 

Without further ado, I introduce the Banana Pepper HR’s 5 Step Creativity Exercise.

1. For at least 30 minutes daily (broken down into whatever units of time you fancy), get fed up with the familar and regular routine. Bring yourself to be bored with bog-standard practises. Practise a teenager's sulky bored-impress-me face. This is awaken your taste for the new and the fresh; the different and the diverse.

2. Release your inner 4 year old by constantly asking why? Why? WHY? Dare to dream “What if?” Ponder new possibilities. With any luck you will annoy yourself to...

3. Act! ACT! ACT! Challenge the status quo and create wild seemingly impossible alternatives. Uncover fascinating and unexpected finds.

4. TEST! Then get to work. Test out your wild imaginings. Turn them into useful solutions that make a difference. Implement them.

5. REPEAT the exercise. Take back 30 minutes from your day. Reclaim your creativity!
